Sandy Routly

Sandra (“Sandy”) Routly is an experienced risk and compliance leader with 35 years of overall healthcare expertise in patient safety and quality of care initiatives, policies and procedures, healthcare regulations, risk analysis, education, and internal audit. Having worked with diverse senior leadership, physicians and boards, Sandy brings to this position a demonstrated commitment to compliance, collaboration, and servant leadership.

Sandy began her extensive healthcare career as a pediatric ICU nurse. During the second phase of her career, she worked as a nurse-paralegal in law firm settings to assist with defending hospitals and individual providers in malpractice litigation. She then returned to the healthcare side and for the last 20 years, Sandy has been a risk and compliance leader in the corporate (CHRISTUS Health), hospital (North Richland Hills Hospital) and physician practice settings (Acclaim Physician Group). Prior to joining RCA, Sandy built the risk and compliance program for Acclaim Physician Group, a 500+ multispecialty physician practice group in Fort Worth, TX.

Sandy received an MHA from University of St. Francis and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Sandy holds professional certifications in Healthcare Compliance, Patient Safety and Healthcare Risk Management. She is a past President of North Texas Society of Healthcare Risk Management.

In her spare time, Sandy enjoys spending time with her husband, Rick, which usually includes cooking a delicious meal, watching all sports, or playing pickleball.
