Southlake, Texas (September 22, 2025) – Retina Consultants of America (RCA), a leading management services organization of retina specialists, today announced the addition of The Retina Institute (TRI) in St. Louis to its nationwide network of retina specialists. A premier ophthalmology practice serving patients in Missouri and Illinois, TRI specializes in the treatment of diseases and disorders affecting the retina, vitreous and macula.

Founded in the late-1960s by two pioneers in vitreoretinal surgery and photocoagulation, Dr. Paul Cibis and Dr. Edward Okun, TRI has been at the forefront of innovation in retinal care for more than five decades. The practice established itself as a leader in developing and adopting cutting-edge treatments for diseases of the retina and macula. TRI’s exceptional leadership is underscored by Kevin J. The addition expands RCA’s presence in the Midwest, which now includes TRI’s 11 board-certified and fellowship trained physicians and eight offices across Missouri and Illinois, including four in the St. Louis area.
